Our school uniform

Red jumper/cardigan, grey trousers, grey skirt or pinafore, grey shirt, red tie, black shoes.

Children are not permitted to wear “runners” except on PE days.

The uniform jumpers and cardigans do not have a school crest. School uniforms are available to buy from John Barr’s Buncrana and any of the larger retail stores.

  • For Term 3 (from Easter to Summer), a combination of the school polo shirt and grey shorts are permitted.

  • Shorts are limited to grey pant-shorts, or grey cotton track-suit shorts.  Shorts to be knee-length and loose.

  • For Term 3 Gingham dresses will be permitted (red and white check, as common in many Derry schools) for girls.

  • Cycling shorts / gym shorts / skin-tight shorts are not permitted at any time.

  • Branded sportswear is not permitted as uniform, regardless of its colour.

School Track Suit (available online from O’Reilly Sports at https://oreillysofficial.com/product-category/scoil-iosagain/) is worn on days when children have P.E. or on school tours/outings. A text message will issue from the school with information about when the track suits will be on sale.

It is important that pupils wear their proper school uniform/tracksuit at all times. If, for any reason, your child is not wearing the Scoil Íosagáin uniform/tracksuit then you should provide an explanation in writing to the class teacher.

We want our children to wear their uniform with pride and to see it as a symbol of their belonging to the Scoil Íosagáin community.
